These are bondable buccal tubes with a woven mesh base, split welded and non-convertible, for 1st and 2nd molars. One box holds 50 sets – 200 pieces – across six models: MBT or Roth prescription in 0.022" or 0.018" slot. Bond them chair-side with your usual adhesive; the mesh base is the part that decides whether they stay on.

Why the mesh base decides bond reliability

A bondable tube only holds as well as the interface between its base and the adhesive. A flat, smooth base relies on surface chemistry alone. A woven mesh base gives the adhesive somewhere to flow into and lock – a mechanical grip spread across the whole pad instead of a thin film at the rim.

In practice that is the difference between a tube that survives the full treatment cycle and one that comes loose between appointments and costs you a re-bond slot. The mesh is visible in the product photos: a dense, uniform weave, not a stamped pattern.

Split welding and non-convertible design

Split welding means the tube body and the base are joined as a single unit, so the tube does not rotate or rock under wire load. Non-convertible means there is no convertible cap to lose or ligate over – fewer parts, fewer failure points, less chair time.

The entrance is funneled, which guides the archwire into the slot instead of catching on the edge. With a 0.022" slot that matters most on the heavier wires, where a missed insertion means re-seating the whole segment.

Bond with your standard orthodontic adhesive following the adhesive manufacturer's etch and primer protocol. Keep the mesh side dry and uncontaminated before seating – finger contact on the mesh is the most common cause of a weak bond. Store in the closed box, away from moisture.
